My Most Favorite Breakfast at Toast Box

As we already knew and heard that a good breakfast simply can boost our mood at that day. For me a perfect breakfast that will boost my mood is come from some slices of fresh toasted bread, two half boiled eggs, and a cup of hot tea or coffee. Sadly, in my country I must prepare that kind of breakfast by myself, because there isn’t food stall open in the morning to serve bread for breakfast and also in my country is common to have rice dish for breakfast. Can you imagine it? Eating a plate of carbohydrate in the morning? Yeah, terribly shocking. And also the environment in my city is not convenient for us to walk in pedestrian and hunt food in the street.

Ok, let’s back to the main topic about my favorite breakfast. When I am in Singapore, one thing that I always love and can’t miss is breakfast time. One thing I love the most about Singapore is that there are many food stall open and serve breakfast. My favorite place to have breakfast is Toast Box. Me and my hubby always come here to get our morning boost. Toast Box serves three kind of breads: the traditional toast one, the thick toast, and the soft bun. And also we can choose the jam from various kind of jam. They also serve some main dish, such as: mee siam, nasi lemak, laksa, etc. I have tried some kind of bread and also the main dish, but I always back to the traditional toast one.

Traditional Toast Set

I call this one with ultimate hearty breakfast. This one set of breakfast will always be my most favorite breakfast all the time. I will never get bored to eat this breakfast every morning. Consist of fresh traditional toast with butter kaya, two half boiled eggs, and one cup of hot Teh-C, this can’t be more than a heavenly breakfast for me. Teh-C is a tea made with evaporated milk and sugar, which creating a nice taste combination between the nice fragrance of hot red tea and the evaporated milk. My hubby also like the coffee at Toast Box. The coffee they serve is a Hainan style coffee.

The half boiled eggs is a star too. First I eat it wrong by zipping the egg from the shell but immediately I learned from the local people how to eat it. Simply just crack the egg and pour it into the empty small plate, and then add white pepper and soy sauce as the way you like, and just eat it using small spoon just like eating soup. The half boiled eggs do taste heavenly for me.

The traditional toast has a perfect brown color in the outside, which is really appetizing. And the bread texture is just perfect, crisp in the outside and juicy, buttery creamy, and sweet in the inside. I always buy some can of Toast Box kaya jam to indulge myself at home with nice breakfast just like in Singapore. While I was writing this, I feel like really want to go back to Singapore again, and treating myself an ultimate hearty breakfast at Toast Box.
